How is tap to pay secure?

Tap to Pay is built on NFC (Near Field Communication) technology and uses encrypted, tokenized transactions.

Card numbers are never stored on your device: each transaction uses a unique, one-time-use code, making it nearly impossible to intercept. Your phone never shares personal card info directly with your app or the customer.

Your phone does not initiate payments — it only receives them.
Customers must actively tap their card or phone on your screen to send payment.

How can I keep my account extra secure?

  • Use a strong, unique password for your POS account

  • Only allow trusted team members to log in

  • Never share login credentials or unlock methods

There's no pop-up when I click the "Tap to pay" button.

Ensure that the items you are trying to check out with are in stock. You may check and update stock on the uServeGo Merchant Page.

Can I use "Tap to pay" when my device is offline?

While cash payments can be processed, Tap to Pay (card payments) will be paused until you're back online.
